Adult Reconstructive Division

The Adult Reconstructive Division is an important subspecialty component of the Adult Orthopaedic Services. Our world-renowned surgeons perform over 3,000 joint replacement surgeries annually, including primary hip and knee replacement, minimally invasive joint replacement including anterior hip replacement, as well as complex revision hip and knee reconstruction. Other conditions we treat include osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus and gouty arthritis, post-traumatic arthritis, avascular necrosis, and congenital birth defects of the hip and knee. For more information about joint replacement please visit the Joint Replacement Center of NYC.

The educational component of the division is multifaceted, including a series of lectures as part of the formal didactic program, monthly conferences that include Journal Club and case presentations, as well as the weekly indications case conferences that are held for each adult orthopaedic service.

Residents are exposed to patient care pre- and post-operatively in the orthopaedic clinics and the faculty offices, and instructed in the comprehensive care of patients throughout their hospitalization at our multiple locations, including the Joint Replacement Center of NYC.
