NYU Langone Medical Center (NYULMC) Outpatient Surgery is a brand new, state-of-the-art facility specializing in same-day orthopaedic surgery. It has four operating rooms (ORs) featuring multiple flat-panel video monitors in each OR so that everyone in the room has view of the surgery. The ORs also feature custom booms and lighting that allow for clutter-free floors and more open space around the operating table. Brand new surgical tools and equipment are also aspects of the ORs.

Your surgery will be performed by one of our renowned surgeons coupled with care from a multidisciplinary team of experienced specialists and professionals. After surgery, you will be transferred to one of 12 post-operative recovery beds which feature skilled nursing care and bed-side monitoring.

Patient privacy and comfort is a priority at NYULMC Outpatient Surgery. Therefore, patients have private pre-operative dressing and holding areas designed to allow patients and their family members to talk privately and quietly with their clinical team prior to surgery. There is also a private multipurpose room available for consultations as needed.

NYULMC Outpatient Surgery is conveniently located at the corner of 38th Street and 1st Avenue with valet parking available at the front entrance. So that your surgery is seamless from beginning to end, we will work directly with your physician’s office to schedule your surgery and any necessary tests on your behalf. Through increased efficiency, you will also experience shorter wait times on the day of your surgery.
